External Staircases

The Extreme Steel Metal Fabrication team strive to give our Customers the most functional and industry specific products to ensure that our structures serve their purpose. Our External Staircases are engineered to ensure full adherence to current Irish Building Regulations and safety standards.

Whether you require an emergency access/egress stair structure, external stairs on a roof structure or between floors we can design the suitable component. Our team of fully qualified Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Metal Fabricators will ensure that all works can be measured and installed to fit any area of the building to ensure a product and a price that’s right for you.

Our Emergency Fire Escape Stairs have been constructed and installed on a number of large Industrial and Commercial Building Units across the country. Fire Escape Stairs are specifically engineered to meet all current procedures set out in Technical Guidance Document K of the Irish Building Regulations.

Our Hand and Knee-Rails will ensure personnel safety in the event of an emergency exit and they can be constructed using traditional Mild Steel flat and Box Section or tubing and also Stainless Steel.

Balustrading and uprights are similarly rigid structures that can incorporate any material that the Client may require and our landings and threads incorporate Chequered Steel Sheeting and Flow Forge where specified.

Extreme Steel can also supply and fit self-closing or automated Emergency Exit Doors that are constructed of durable Mild Steel. These doors can be finished with 1 hour fire-rated intumescent paint to provide additional fire resistance to the building.

Extreme Steel Access Ladders are built for roof access to both Industrial and Commercial Buildings. Our team will measure the required dimensions for you building and design access ladders specific to you. We pride ourselves on our rapid turnaround and quality of finish for such a component.

The Ladders can be engineered as standard open access platforms or as enclosed hooped ladders at significant heights to provide a fall arrest system to the user.

As with all our steel products, we build to conform to current safety legislation and we offer our customer a number of surface treatments and finishes to suit the surrounding environment. We offer primed and painted, galvanising and/or powder coating at the Customers request.
